A gentle first step into group play for children ages 12–24 months, rooted in creativity, connection, and the joy of discovery.
At Community Cooperative Nursery School, we believe that play is the work of the child and that even our youngest learners deserve a place where curiosity, creativity, and connection are nurtured from the very beginning.
That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Playfully Little, a new caregiver-and-me class designed for children 12–24 months old. This weekly program invites toddlers and their caregivers into a warm, community-oriented environment where early social skills are gently introduced and imagination is encouraged through developmentally appropriate, play-based activities.
What to Expect Each Week:
- Free Play: Each session begins with open-ended, themed play using thoughtfully selected materials that support sensory exploration, motor development, and emotional expression.
- Circle Time: Caregivers and children come together for songs, fingerplays, stories, and movement activities that build listening skills, rhythm, and group connection.
- Outdoor Play: Weather permitting, we head outside for nature-based exploration in our outdoor classroom and play spaces.
Program Details:
- Schedule: Fridays, 9:30–11:00 AM
- Dates: October 3 – December 19 (11-week session; no class on November 28)
- Tuition: $495 for the full session
- Location: Community Cooperative Nursery School– 4 Trolley Place, Rowayton, CT
- Age Range: 12–24 months (each child must be accompanied by a caregiver)
- Class Size: Limited to 8 children
- Teacher Ratio: 1 experienced early childhood educator per group.
