Community Cooperative Nursery School is a unique, nurturing, and special place to enroll your child for their first formal educational experience. As our name implies, we are a community that comes together and learns together.
Our staff is experienced, creative, kind, and committed to nurturing lifelong learners in an environment where our children truly learn through play. We are grateful for your interest in our program.
To experience CCNS, we hope you will arrange to visit to our little red schoolhouse. It is once you walk in the door that you really understand our warm and welcoming atmosphere.
CCNS Enrollment Overview
A completed application and $50 fee places a child on a list for the desired class. We accept applications and give tours on a rolling basis, we currently do not have a specific application window or lottery.
Class spots at CCNS filled in the following order:
- Current children
- Siblings of current children
- Children of Alumni Families
- Outside Families (Decisions are based both on time of application and answers provided in application)
Offer letters and contracts are sent out the second week of January with a $500 non-refundable deposit due back in 10 days with the 1st tuition payment traditionally due March 1st. Remaining tuition payments are due July 1st and December 1st of the same calendar year. Custom payment plans are available per request.
Application Process & Tours
We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2025-26 school year. Admissions decisions will go out the first week of January.
For the 2025-26 school year, we currently have openings in our Twos and Threes classes with a waitlist in our Fours.
Our application is linked here for your convenience and can be filled out through the Brightwheel App or through Google Forms. Paper applications are also available by request!
Tours may be scheduled anytime and children are welcome on the tours if the parents\caregivers so choose. Please email our Administrative Director Mary Nevin Gauthier at admin@ccnsct.org or call 203-866-2184 to schedule a tour or ask any questions about our school and enrollment process.
