May 6th, 2017 – Rowayton, CT

Please join CCNS in celebrating Play Outside Day.

We are inviting families to “come play outside” on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 10 AM to NOON at Pinkney Park in Rowayton.

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

For the third year running, the award-winning CCNS staff will provide hundreds of boxes and interesting building materials for a let-your-imagination-run-wild building activity, and will be on hand to help bring the box forts, castles, dragons, dinosaurs and robots to life. We will have a bake sale, and the event will end with Story Time with our three’s teacher, Adele Evershed.

“After such a long winter, we are celebrating the joy of getting back outside and playing together,” says Dana Gorman, CCNS Fours teacher and recipient of the Stepping Stones Museum Playful Practices in Teaching Award. “Do you remember getting a new toy and thinking the box was the best part?” asks Mrs. Gorman. “Come spend an hour or two with us playing, creating, connecting, building and exploring while enjoying time outside together as a family”.

Play Outside Day (playoutsideday.org) occurs the first Saturday of every month and is designed to encourage families to go outside and do something fun together.
